DK 2020 00909 A1 Cleaning device, arrangement and method for cleaning machines for handling and processing poultry or fish Description The invention relates to a cleaning apparatus, configured and adapted for cleaning machines or parts thereof, comprising a tube element having a tube holder and a tube which can be unrolled from the tube holder or rolled up on the tube holder, wherein a supply end of the tube is configured and adapted for connection to a water supply system and the opposite connection end of the tube is configured and adapted for connection to a pipe construction which has at least one cleaning nozzle, and the connection end of the tube is movable from a waiting position, in which the connection end of the tube is uncoupled from the machine to be cleaned or parts thereof, into an operating position, in which the connection end of the tube is connected to the machine to be cleaned or parts thereof, and back.
The invention is directed further to a use of a cleaning apparatus in conjunction with a machine for handling and/or processing poultry or fish and parts thereof.
The invention relates also to an arrangement comprising at least one machine for handling and/or processing poultry or fish and parts thereof and at least one cleaning apparatus for cleaning the machine or parts thereof.
A method for cleaning a machine for handling and/or processing poultry or fish and parts thereof is also part of the invention.
Such cleaning apparatuses are used in all areas of industrial production in which the machines, apparatuses, devices or the like (referred to hereinbelow as machines) and parts thereof which are contaminated by the handling and/or processing of products must be cleaned. In the food processing industry in particular, that is to say inter alia in the poultry and fish processing industry, regular cleaning of the machines or parts thereof is essential in order to meet the particular hygiene regulations.
The machines or parts thereof, and in particular the handling and/or processing stations, are conventionally shielded from the surroundings by a housing or the like. For cleaning of the machine or parts thereof, the machine must in principle be stopped, that is to say changed from the operating mode into the cleaning mode, which leads to downtimes of the machine
DK 2020 00909 A1 .2- and thus to a loss of output.
Accordingly, the focus is directed at making cleaning as effective as possible without reducing the cleaning result thereof.
It is known to clean the machines or parts thereof manually.
While the machine is stopped, it is opened for that purpose.
In other words, the housing of the machine is opened so that theinterior which is to be cleaned and/or individual handling and/or processing stations can be made accessible and cleaned.
For cleaning, conventional cleaning aids, such as, for example, water tubes, brushes, low-pressure cleaners or the like, can be used by an operator.
However, this possibility of cleaning is on the one hand time-consuming and thusinefficient and on the other hand dependent on the operator as regards the cleaning result.
Cleaning apparatuses are therefore known in which there are provided tube elements which comprise a tube which can be rolled up on and unrolled from a tube holder.
Such tube elements are conventionally positioned above the machine to be cleaned and connected to a water supply system, for example a conventional water connection or a low-pressure watersystem.
The water supply system is synonymous with a cleaning medium supply system.
In cases where cleaning by means of water is not possible or is disadvantageous, the tube can also be connected, for example, to an air or compressed air system.
However, it is a requirement for the cleaning of machines or parts thereof with such tubeelements that a pipe construction, a so-called nozzle fitting, is present inside the machine.
This pipe construction has at least one cleaning nozzle.
The pipe construction is fixedly installed inside the machine or on the machine and is thus a fixed component of the machine itself.
This means that the pipe construction remains in the machine both in the cleaning mode of the machine and in the operating mode thereof.
For cleaning the machine or partsthereof, the pipe construction installed in the machine is in some cases fixedly, that is to say in the cleaning mode and in the operating mode, connected to a pipe system or the like which is connected to the water supply system.
The cleaning operation is started by opening a ball valve or the like.
In other cases, the connection end of a tube is moved, when the machine is stopped and when the housing is open, from the waiting position into theoperating position and connected to the pipe construction fixedly and permanently mounted in the machine.
Accordingly, in the cleaning mode of the machine, a connection is established between the tube and the pipe construction.
After the cleaning process, the connection end of the tube is uncoupled from the pipe construction again and moved into the waiting position.
The machine — together with the pipe construction located inside themachine — is then put into operation again.
In the operating mode of the machine, the connection between the tube and the pipe connection is correspondingly released.
In all the known solutions, the pipe construction is likewise contaminated by the products during
DK 2020 00909 A1 -3- handling and/or processing of the products when the machine is operating. Accordingly, taking the handling and/or processing of foodstuffs as an example, not only the machine interior and the or each handling and/or processing station but explicitly also the pipe construction is contaminated. The surface to be cleaned thus becomes greater and the number of components to be cleaned increases, as a result of which the cleaning time, and thus the downtime of the machine, becomes longer. A further disadvantage is that, owing to the pipe construction and the cleaning nozzles, in particular as a result of the structural form thereof, additional regions arise, in particular regions which are difficult to access, in which contaminants, for example in the form of foodstuffs residues, accumulate and germ formation and other undesirable effects are intensified. Such regions must accordingly be cleaned separately afterwards, which requires additional time. A disadvantage of the known solution is also that only those machines or parts thereof which are structurally correspondingly prepared and adapted by the provision of a pipe construction can be cleaned.
Accordingly, the object underlying the invention is to provide a cleaning apparatus which is easy to handle and which ensures quick and effective cleaning of the machine or parts thereof. A further object underlying the invention is to provide a corresponding arrangement and a corresponding method.
This object is achieved by a cleaning apparatus of the type mentioned hereinbefore in that the pipe construction is part of the cleaning apparatus, such that the pipe construction is connected to the connection end of the tube both in the operating mode of the machine and in the cleaning mode of the machine, wherein the pipe construction is configured and adapted to be releasably fastened inside a machine and, together with the connection end of the tube, is movable from the waiting position into the operating position and back. The pipe construction is accordingly permanently connected to the connection end of the tube, wherein permanently refers to the modes of the machine. The pipe construction must of course be detached from the tube, for example for maintenance thereof, replacement or the like. With the configuration according to the invention, the number of components inside the machine that are to be cleaned is significantly reduced. It is particularly advantageous that additional clusters of bacteria or the like inside the machine are avoided, since the pipe construction is positioned outside the machine during the operating mode of the machine and accordingly is not itself exposed to contamination by the handling and/or processing of the products. The or each cleaning nozzle is also not exposed to contamination of any kind by the operating mode, so that start-up problems are avoided. The cleaning apparatus according to the invention accordingly makes it possible to clean the machine or parts thereof simply, quickly and nevertheless particularly efficiently. A further advantage is that
DK 2020 00909 A1 -4- the cleaning apparatus can be used almost independently of the machine, since all the components for quick and effective cleaning are part of the cleaning apparatus. In other words, the cleaning apparatus according to the invention can be used individually, independently of other components, for cleaning any desired machines or parts thereof.
The pipe construction is advantageously fixedly but releasably connected to the connection end of the tube and is configured to be freely movable in the waiting position together with the free end of the tube. Freely movable thereby refers to the movement play provided by the — usually freely suspended — connection end of the tube. During the operating mode of the machine, the cleaning apparatus including the pipe construction is located completely and as a unit outside and preferably above the machine. The pipe construction is suspended at the free end of the tube above the machine and is connected to the connection end of the tube. The tube is rolled up on the tube holder. With the supply end, the tube is connected to the water supply system directly or via the tube holder. In the cleaning mode of the machine, the pipe construction is positioned inside the machine as the tube is unrolled. As a result of the free movability of the pipe construction together with the connection end of the tube, any desired operating position inside the machine at which cleaning is to be carried out can be reached simply and quickly from the waiting position, within the bounds of the length of the tube.
The pipe construction advantageously comprises at least one cleaning pipe and at least one cleaning nozzle. Effective cleaning is thereby achieved. In a preferred embodiment, the pipe construction comprises multiple cleaning pipes and multiple cleaning nozzles, as a result of which the effectiveness of the cleaning apparatus is increased and in particular multiple regions of the machine or parts thereof can be cleaned at the same time. A particularly preferred embodiment is characterised in that the pipe construction is of modular form or construction, such that it is variable in terms of the number of cleaning pipes and/or the number of cleaning nozzles as well as the position and/or orientation thereof. For example, the pipe construction can be configured as a type of plug-in system, in order to change the length and/or size of the pipe construction and the orientation thereof and in particular to be able to adapt the outlet points of the water (or of any other cleaning medium) in terms of their number and orientation to the particular machine to be cleaned and the construction thereof. An individual cleaning apparatus is thereby provided which permits quick and effective cleaning of different machines or parts thereof, for example after a modification of the machine or after a complete change of machine.
DK 2020 00909 A1 -5- The or each cleaning nozzle is expediently movably arranged on the or each cleaning pipe, in such a manner that the position and/or orientation thereof is variably adjustable. The advantages described hereinbefore can thereby be intensified still further.
The pipe construction advantageously has associated fastening means for releasably fastening it to or inside the machine to be cleaned or parts thereof. These fastening means ensure quick and secure connection and release of the pipe construction, without auxiliary means or together with auxiliary means, to or from the machine or parts thereof. These fastening means are independent of the machine. This means that no adjustment or the like is required on the machine side for a secure connection to the pipe construction. Simple handling is thereby ensured. In a preferred embodiment, the fastening means comprises a plug-in and/or clamping mechanism which is configured and adapted for releasably fixing the pipe construction to the orin the machine or parts thereof. Magnetic elements can also be used as the fastening means. By means of this design, quick and secure connection and release of the pipe construction can be achieved. In a further embodiment, the pipe construction has fastening means which are configured and adapted to cooperate with corresponding fastening means which are arranged on or in the machine or parts thereof. As a result, a secure and stable connection, which can quickly and easily be released again, can likewise be produced. The tube holder advantageously has a tube-rolling mechanism, wherein the tube-rolling mechanism comprises a retractor and a weight equaliser. Such mechanisms, which are also known as a tension spring and balancer, simplify handling of the cleaning apparatus so that quick and effective cleaning is facilitated. The object is also achieved by an arrangement of the type mentioned hereinbefore in that the cleaning apparatus is configured and adapted according to one or more of claims 1 to 10. The object is also achieved by a method mentioned hereinbefore by the following steps: transferring the machine from an operating mode into a cleaning mode, positioning and fixing a pipe construction, which is connected via a tube element to a water supply system, to or in the machine or parts thereof by moving the pipe construction from a waiting position located outside the machine into the operating position located inside the machine, carrying out the cleaning process, releasing and removing the pipe construction from the machine by moving
DK 2020 00909 A1 -6- the pipe construction from the operating position back into the waiting position, and transferring the machine from the cleaning mode into the operating mode.
The resulting advantages have already been described in connection with the cleaning apparatus, for which reason, in order to avoid repetition, reference is made to the corresponding passages.
Further expedient and/or advantageous features and further developments relating to the cleaning apparatus, to the use of the cleaning apparatus, to the arrangement which comprises a machine for handling and/or processing poultry or fish and parts thereof and the cleaning apparatus, and to the method will become apparent from the dependent claims and the description.
Particularly preferred embodiments of the cleaning apparatus and of the arrangement and the method will be described in greater detail by means of the accompanying drawing, in which:
Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of a cleaning apparatus, Fig. 2 shows a schematic representation of an arrangement comprising a machine for handling and/or processing poultry or fish and parts thereof and two cleaning apparatuses in the waiting position, Fig. 3 shows the arrangement according to Figure 2, wherein the pipe constructions of the cleaning apparatuses are in an intermediate position, and Fig. 4 shows the arrangement according to Figures 2 and 3 with the pipe constructions of the cleaning apparatuses in the operating position.
The cleaning apparatuses and arrangements shown in the drawing serve for the cleaning of fish filleting machines or the like.
However, the cleaning apparatuses can also be used in a corresponding manner in other machines of the fish or poultry handling and/or processing industry as well as in other fields of industry in which contaminants are formed during the handling and/or processing of products.
The cleaning apparatus 10 shown is configured and adapted for cleaning machines 20 or parts thereof and comprises a tube element 11 having a tube holder 12 and a tube 13 which can be unrolled from the tube holder or rolled up on the tube holder, wherein a supply end (which is concealed by the rolled-up tube and thus not shown explicitly) of the tube 13 is
DK 2020 00909 A1 -7- configured and adapted for connection to a water supply system and the opposite, free connection end 14 of the tube 13 is configured and adapted for connection to a pipe construction 15, which has at least one cleaning nozzle 16. The connection end 14 of the tube 13 is movable from a waiting position, in which the connection end 14 of the tube 13 is uncoupled from the machine 20 to be cleaned or parts thereof, into an operating position, in which the connection end 14 of the tube 13 is connected to the machine 20 to be cleaned or parts thereof, and back. This cleaning apparatus 10 is distinguished according to the invention in that the pipe construction 15 is part of the cleaning apparatus 10, such that the pipe construction 15 is connected to the connection end 14 of the tube 13 both in the operating mode of the machine 20 and in the cleaning mode of the machine 20, wherein the pipe construction 15 is configured and adapted for releasable fastening inside a machine 20 and, together with the connection end 14 of the tube 13, is movable from the waiting position into the operating position and back.
The configuration according to the invention of the cleaning apparatus 10 can be described particularly clearly by means of Figures 2 to 4. In Figure 2, the cleaning apparatus 10 is arranged wholly outside the machine 20 and free of any connection to the machine 20, preferably above the machine 20. For this purpose, the tube holder 12 is fastened to a wall, a frame, a rack or the like. The tube 13 is connected to the water supply system by its supply end directly or via the tube holder 12. The free end of the tube 13, that is to say the connection end 14, at which there is arranged the pipe construction 15, which is also referred to as an antler because of its external form, is suspended in the waiting position. The tube 13 is rolled up on the tube holder 12. The machine 20 itself is in the closed state and in the operating mode.
In Figure 3, the machine 20 is in a non-operating state, preferably in preparation for the cleaning mode. The pipe construction 15 has been moved together with the connection end 14 from the waiting position into an operating position by unrolling the tube 13 at least partially. The pipe construction 15 is arranged and fixed inside the machine 20. In Figure 4, the machine 20 is in the cleaning mode, with the pipe construction 15 inside the machine 20. After the process of cleaning the machine 20, the pipe construction 15 together with the connection end 14 can be moved into the waiting position according to Figure 2 again. The connection between the connection end 14 of the tube 13 and the pipe construction 15 remains permanently, that is to say is not separated either in the cleaning mode of the machine 20 or in the operating mode of the machine 20.
DK 2020 00909 A1 -8- The features and further developments described hereinbelow represent preferred embodiments when considered on their own or in combination with one another. It is explicitly pointed out that features which are combined in the claims and/or the description and/or the drawing or described in a joint embodiment can also functionally independently further develop the cleaning apparatus 10 described hereinbefore. For moving the pipe construction 15 from the waiting position into the operating position and back, the pipe construction 15 is preferably fixedly but releasably connected to the connection end 14 of the tube 13 and is configured to be freely movable in the waiting position together with the free end of the tube 13. In the operating position, the movability is limited by the fixing of the pipe construction 15 in or to the machine 20 or parts thereof. In order to simplify the movability of the pipe construction 15 from the waiting position into the operating position, a handle element 17 is arranged in the connection region between the connection end 14 of the tube 13 and the pipe construction 15, which handle element is formed by a rod-like bracket 19. However, other handling aids can likewise be used. The pipe construction 15 comprises at least one cleaning pipe 18 and at least one cleaning nozzle 16. However, the pipe construction 15 is preferably formed of multiple cleaning pipes 18 and multiple cleaning nozzles 16. The pipe construction 15 can have a fixed, unchangeable structure. Optionally, however, the pipe construction 15 is of modular form or construction, such that it is variable in terms of the number of cleaning pipes 18 and/or the number of cleaning nozzles 16 as well as the position and/or orientation thereof. The cleaning pipes 18 or portions thereof can be oriented parallel to one another, transversely to one another or at other angles relative to one another. Correspondingly, the cleaning nozzles 16 can have different orientations. The cleaning pipes 18 running longitudinally and/or transversely and connected to one another, on the one hand, and the positioning and orientation of the cleaning nozzles 16 on the cleaning pipes 18, on the other hand, give the pipe construction 15 its antler-like appearance. In individual embodiments, the cleaning nozzles 16 can be of rigid form. This means that the cleaning medium, preferably water, can emerge in only one direction. However, the or each cleaning nozzle 16 is preferably movably arranged on the or each cleaning pipe 18, in such a manner that the position and/or orientation thereof is variably adjustable.
The pipe construction 15 preferably has associated fastening means for releasably fastening it to or inside the machine 20 to be cleaned or parts thereof. In individual embodiments, the fastening means comprises a plug-in and/or clamping mechanism which is configured and
DK 2020 00909 A1 -9- adapted for releasably fixing the pipe construction 15 to or in the machine 20 or parts thereof. However, other fastening means, in particular also quick-action locking systems, can likewise be used. The connection between the pipe construction 15 and the machine 20 or parts thereof can also be established by means of magnets or the like as the fastening means. The described fastening means are so configured that they can be coupled on one side to any machine 20 or parts thereof. On one side means in this connection that corresponding structures and/or adaptations and/or fastening means can be dispensed with on sides of the machine 20. In other embodiments, the pipe construction 15 has fastening means which are configured and adapted to cooperate with corresponding fastening means which are arranged on or in the machine 20 or parts thereof. In principle, it is known to provide a tube holder 12 on which the tube 13 can be rolled up and unrolled. The tube 13 can of course also be connected directly to the water supply system without any tube holder 12 and be stored in a disorderly manner. However, the tube element 11, or more precisely the tube holder 12, particularly preferably has a tube-rolling mechanism, wherein the tube-rolling mechanism comprises a retractor and a weight equaliser. However, other auxiliary means for storing, unrolling and rolling up the tube can likewise be used.
The cleaning apparatus 10 is in principle an independent apparatus which is functional in itself. However, the cleaning apparatus 10 is preferably used in conjunction with machines 20, in order to clean them. Particular preference is given to a use of the cleaning apparatus 10 according to one or more of claims 1 to 10 in a machine 20 for handling and/or processing poultry or fish and parts thereof. Ultimately, however, the cleaning apparatus 10 can be used in conjunction with any desired machine 20 or parts thereof. As mentioned, a use of the cleaning apparatus 10 preferably in conjunction with at least one machine 20 for handling and/or processing products is provided. Figures 2 to 4 each show an arrangement 21 which comprises a machine 20 for handling and/or processing poultry or fish and parts thereof and at least one cleaning apparatus 10 for cleaning the machine 20 or parts thereof. In the specific embodiment, two cleaning apparatuses 10 are provided. The machine 20 has a housing 22 which is closed in the operating mode and in the cleaning mode. For coupling and uncoupling the pipe construction 15, the housing 22 is open. For this purpose, the housing 22 has door elements 23, flap elements, sliding elements or the like.
The housing 22 further has openings 24 for the passage of the or each tube 13 when the housing 22 is closed. According to the invention, this or each cleaning apparatus 10 is configured and adapted according to one or more of claims 1 to 10.
DK 2020 00909 A1 -10- The machine 20 or parts thereof can comprise fastening means which are configured and adapted for releasably fixing the pipe construction 15 of the cleaning apparatus 10 to or in the machine 20 or parts thereof. However, the fastening means can also be configured and adapted to cooperate with fastening means which are arranged on the pipe construction 15.
The method for cleaning machines for handling and/or processing poultry or fish and parts thereof will be described in greater detail hereinbelow by means of the sequence of Figures 2 to 4.
In the case of the method, the invention assumes that the arrangement 21 is being used in normal production mode. This means that production (operating mode of the machine 20) and cleaning (cleaning mode of the machine 20) alternate. The transfer of the machine 20 into the cleaning mode on the one hand and back into the operating mode on the other hand can also take place with a time delay relative to the actual cleaning process. For carrying out the cleaning process, it is important that the machine 20 is out of operation for initiating the cleaning process, that is to say for moving the pipe construction 15 from the waiting position into the operating position and fastening it to or in the machine 20 or parts thereof, for carrying out the actual cleaning process, and for ending the cleaning process, that is to say for releasing and removing the pipe construction 15 from the machine 20 or parts thereof and for moving it from the operating position into the waiting position. Where the machine 20 comprises a housing 22, as is conventionally the case, the housing is correspondingly opened and closed again when the pipe construction 15 is moved into the machine 20 and moved out of the machine 20.
Specifically, the machine 20 is transferred from an operating mode into a cleaning mode. After the housing 22 has been opened, a pipe construction 15 connected via a tube element 11 to a water supply system is positioned and fixed on or in the machine 20 or parts thereof by moving the pipe construction 15 from a waiting position located outside the machine 20 into the operating position located inside the machine 20. After the housing 22 has been closed, the actual cleaning process is carried out. After the machine 20 or parts thereof has been cleaned, the housing 22 is opened again and the pipe construction 15 is released and removed from the machine 20 by moving the pipe construction 15 from the operating position back into the waiting position. As soon as the pipe construction 15 is fully in the waiting position again, that is to say has left the machine 20 completely, the housing 22 can be closed again so that the machine 20 can be transferred from the cleaning mode into the operating mode again.
DK 2020 00909 A1 -11- Handling of the pipe construction 15 is facilitated considerably by the handle element 17 and the tension spring as well as the balancer.
The method is particularly preferably carried out with a cleaning apparatus 10 according to one or more of claims 1 to 10.
